I wonder why it is that the vepr has a special place for the... fitch, was it? Tony has memories of other people and victims, he might even remember names, but we've only seen the picture of him and his comrade-in-arms. Those two weren't part of the same crew. Their bond is in those shared secrets... No! It has to be more than that. Tony shared secrets with Jen and Brice. Now Jen was nothing more than slop and Brice just chagrins the pig.

There is something more to the relationship between the vepr and fitch, something that Tony misses about that scrawny fellow he met in the rear areas of conflict. No matter how he is gone or by whose hand, I get the distinct impression that the pig did not want to lose this ferret who is now gone from his life.
