The slopedia has the names of several different species, as they are called in Slop. Pigs, dogs, goats and deer are covered.

Are any other species named?
I have come across "Cunni" (rabbit) here on the forum, but what would the cats be called? or badgers, gaters, or other random species that may appear, or have appeared in cameos?

Mulefoot, have you named any of these species (but not shared)?

I would have an idea for a fanfic, just for the hell of it, but it seems odd to be able to call a big pig or boar a Vepr, but then calling a rat "Rat", or [random species here].

He's named several of them in an area on the main site for SLOP in the "Slopedia" section...

Well, we know there's Oroslani (and/or Dirt Singa, but not what the distinction is, exactly) for lions. I don't think any other names have been mentioned for the mustelidae, corvid, cow or gator guests we've seen so far.

Oroslani and Singha are two different races of lion...they're as cuddly together as Turks and Kurds. I'm pretty sure I mentioned Fitch versus Shellers in the current storyline. Most of these below have been mentioned in story or in forum.

And a brief note about main lines. Some of these species all interbreed so you can think that canine is a main kind of species and Vilka, Blackmouths, Coyanos are races of canine. Reynards also count but they're different enough in SLOP that usually offspring they have with the other canine races are sterile. The mustelids have races in that in SLOP Brock, Fitch, and Shellers can all somewhat interbreed.


Brock = Badgers
Corvinka = crow folk
Coyono = Coyotes
Cunni = Rabbit folk of North America
Grip = gypsy dogs-- somestimes spelled grypt
Fel = Deer folk, visually similiar to white tailed deer.
Fitch = Ferretlike mustelids
Hahursa = Bear folk
Oroslani = European Lions
Reynard =Foxes
Shellers = Otterlike mustelids
Singah = Asian lions... looked down upon by Oroslani
Todd = another race of Foxes
Tag = Tigers
Vilkin = Wolves
Weekahsah = Raccoon

I can't remember what I came up with for the name of Skunks and I hadn't come up with a Wolverine race name yet. I will though. I seem also to have forgotten the names for my lynxes and and cheetah folk as well. I will updtate the 'pedia soon.

*WARNING: I AM ABOUT TO OVERTHINK THIS*

Ok is a prefix that means in effect "has a jaw" Or by extention, a "Gnathy" is a creature with a dominant jaw or is defined by their jaws. First guess? Sharks? nah, not a single fish in the comic yet. Hyena? Maybe, but does Slop need another canine species? I want to guess rat, but rodents are defined by teeth, not jaws.

So my guess is . . .
