Yes, rule 1, do not get into a shouting match when you're trying to sneak silently away from the enemy. But at least it kept them from getting killed outright, as might have happened if they had time to react.

Very nicely done, MF. I love the way you cut out the dialog of the argument. It's an elegant way to depict a loud argument- and it really doesn't matter what they're saying, does it? But this way we are forced to rely to the stark, black cutout images. Just the way the drawing is done conveys the-- oh, I don't know-- all the sharp edges that are going to tear everyone's heart out, one way or another.

The real question, for me, is....is this page an actual resolution (meaning, that the next few panels carry us to an entirely different scene, such as in a prisoner of war camp), or do we watch them react in some way right then and there, amidst a spray of bullets and blood?

Any comedy found at the end of this page will be quickly turning to tragedy, I'm betting, one way or the other.....
