Slop is going on Hiatus for a few weeks.
A little while ago I found out that late last night or early this morning, my father was murdered during a home invasion robbery. I can't give any other details right now about it. I'm probably going to put my art on hold for a little while while I deal with this personal tragedy.

Already many friends and fans have reached out and all of you are a source of comfort in this very hard time for me.
More details will come when it is proper to release them.

Thank you, all of you for your support.

Take all the time you need, Muley.

You know all you have to do is ask, and I'll do whatever I can to help...

Be safe, my friend...

And let your friends shoulder some of the weight...

We are here for you...

I'm hardly a frequent poster, but my viewing and posting habits are not the important part here...

I'm very, very sorry for your loss...

I hope the person who did it is captured and brought to justice... but more clearly: I hope that they feel sorrow and regret for what they've done. And if they don't... there's a special slice of hell waiting for people like them.

and I hope that you and your family find peace quickly...

I wish I could say something more useful or substancial.. but the thing is there's really not too much that one can say.

Just know that we are all behind you and will do all that we can to support you in these troubled times. Know that we will all do what we can to help, when asked. And know that right now, your personal health (mental, physical, and otherwise) is the most important thing. As is that of your family.

Take the time you need. Take a bit more past that. and when you are ready to resume slop, resume it. When you want to, or need to resume your art, then do it. Do not ever fill your mind with thoughts of wanting to draw, but hesitating to do so because your thought is "I should work on slop first."

Slop can wait. We can wait. Anyone who can't, isn't worth your time.

Best wishes to you and yours.

First of all..
THANK YOU!
To all that have posted and to those that check in here from time to time.
No one really knows what to say during times like this.
So even to those that didn't post, I for one fully understand.
It's enough that you stop and check from time to time.
A small up date:
Mulefoot will be back in Ohio late Monday.
He sounds good on the phone.
And is getting a handle on things.
Not only did he have to deal with the death and all the normal things surrounding that.
But he now has a ranch with several dozen head of horses and other critters. And the 'nuts and bolts' of keeping that going as well.
The father's wish, for the ranch to continue, will be honored.
Plus he is going to finish his schooling.
So for the next 7 months or so, I'll be going to Texas to help manage the ranch.
Slop has always been half artistic outlet and half therapy for the big pig.
I'm sure he'll need both again.
I just don't know how soon.
Again, Thank you, to anyone reading this.
All the 'positive waves' everyone has been sending his way, have surely helped.

Your Editor-in-Beef:
Ramseys

Ya know, as a rancher Mulefoot's going to have to change his image a bit. Something like this....

Yeah....Works for me...

VERY relieved to hear some news bulletin, so thanks E.I.B.

There's a lot to be done, and I hope y'all are managing both places and careers well.

Ok, perhaps I misread things a bit, Ramseys is going to be the rancher, Mulefoot's headed back to nursing school. How's this then?

Ramseys will practice ranching till Mule graduates. Then Muley can hie hisse'f to Tejas and do the Tejas version of Daktari (Or if you're younger, Dr. Quinn, medicine woman).
Although, who'd be surprised if in the next year or three, Ramseys cashes out his homestead and moves West on a permanent basis?
Either way, we're out of a regular SLOP till things settle some, and that looks to be a while.

I haven't checked the forums in a while, just been busy and glancing at the Slop page itself now and then for updates. I assumed things were just hectic and busy, and thats why there were no updates.

I'm very sorry about your loss, Mulefoot. I hope everything works out for you as well as possible under the circumstances. Sending hugs your way.
