So Tony-Ray walloped a Robinson in the past (or rather just some captain as he addresses them) while sharing his tale to a current Robinson; sentenced 10 years for the deed and yet he denies knowing the past party.

There's a connection between the past and future Robinson but why did Tony-Ray deny it when asked? (Seen here) Was he seeking her out when their paths crossed?

Also amazing shading work on the final frame. Simply Wow!

Perhaps the initial death of her sister was a revenge event that went wrong and became a killing...for the original Robinson taking away so many years of his life...

But once the killing began,...he just couldn't stop....

One of the things I discovered about pigs while doing research for my game,...they have long memories,..and can hold a grudge for years... They have been known to take revenge against those who hurt them...

I'm just wondering what Rita's thinking at this point.

I also wonder what Rita is going to think about this. I wonder how much she knows about her father's service. Like whether he got punched out, and if so by what kind of critter. Or maybe she knows now.

Personally, I've always agreed with Linus Van Pelt, who said "No problem is so big it can't be run away from!" Confession may be good for the soul-- depending on whom you're confessing to, and how much she knows-- but it can also be bad for the life expectancy. Yours or someone else's.

Well, The indications are that Tony Ray probably beat her father senseless. You don't get 10 years in Club Fed for just arguing with your commanding officer.

As said in this panel, "It's when it all started coming apart."

Now the pig's had some time to sit and reflect on what happened to his life.

Ya got to look back over what he's done, what he does, who he knows and how he knows them. Oh, and of course, little things like just what buttons to push to set him off.

Possibility #1: Tony Ray finishes telling Rita that he's the one responsible for her father and her sister. Rita gives him a hug and says, "It ain't your fault you're so fucked up. It was Thaikong, the Army let you down."

That didn't end well the last time somebody told him that, it won't end well this time either.

Possibility #2: Rita points the gun at Tony Ray, and he's waiting for it. "Just do it." Except she turns it on herself and blows her brains out instead.

Possibility #3: Pom's had enough of "show and tell" and shoots Rita in the head. Then Tony Ray loses it and takes Pom apart piece by piece.

Possibility #4: They all get shot in their respective necks with tranquilizer darts and wake up chained up in a dungeon with Sam and Uthala.

Wow!!!! What a twist THAT would be!!!!

And......

....JEEZ that's a grim one.....

I'm not sure what "edge" Tony would fall off of if THAT transpired, but I bet it'd be a steep one....

....Killing spree, anyone?....

....Would it start with Pommander,...sittin' in a tree.....D...I..E......I...N...G....?

Well, yeah. But from the very beginning in Dry Run, nothing has gone right or been good. This is the Slop theater, and Tony Ray is the star player in a morality play whose job is to teach us that "life ain't fair."

We've only seen a small fragment of how fucked up Tony Ray is. I'm sure there's even more things in his past that would make your skin crawl once you realized the significance of it.

http://rustedtusks.com/slop/index.php?v=1&i=3&f=8&p=1&nc=1

"Tease" That might have been his first kill. Some uppity middle class cunt playing him the wrong way, then throwing it back in his face.

"Fear" The Klan done lynched a pig. Quite possibly a relative. Sho 'nuff, that ought to learn you your place in society.

"Loss" That would be the now dead Cohen. "He took a bullet for me, and Ah let him die."

"Anger" Jail time at the Club Fed. Learn cold blooded from the masters.

"Delusion" Is that our dear sweet innocent Uthalla. Another loose end.

What with Tony Ray's story telling, Rita's fast becoming another loose end.

Uncle

Hmnnn,...which begs the question..... "Is good really good when it acts merely as the 'set-up' for the bad?...."

Worms are "good" to fishes....except the ones that hide the hooks...

Calm is good to experience, until the moment that you realize that particular calm exists merely because it precedes the deadly storm it heralds.

Is the ripe apple good that hides the razor-blade?

Is the candy good though it is held by the tempting hand of the murderous stranger (or in this case, his obsessed and twisted seducer)?

If a fat girl falls in the forest,...do the trees laugh?

Wait,..what the hell did THAT mean?

Well I don't know about that. He did get to tie up Brice with a muzzle full of razors and administer surpriez buttsechs without anything bad coming his way.

Not yet, anyway.

And there's a reason Tony can't die / get caught just yet. There are too many loose ends which if left unresolved would disappoint an awful lot of readers.

If this had fallen closer to April Fools, I might have had Tony explain to Rita that the Tiger killed him. That he died deep in the jungle. And then just draw him turning to dust and leaves, swallowed up by the darkness.

That might have been a fun Halloween Prank too!

I wouldn't call getting almost killed in a bar "not anything bad."

Did he exchange a walk on part in the war for a lead role in a cage?

Hee.. the guy taking the boar's pulse while he's laid up in the hospital bed. Looks like he's touching himself while holding Mulefoot's wrist. I know its just my perverted mind at work and he's actually just looking at his watch to gauge the pig's pulse.

But it looks like he's thinking "Oh god.. I'm touching Mulefoot.. THE Mulefoot. Ermph.. gotta make an adjustment.. there, thats better." XD
