Well looks like Sam is going to get his marching orders.. or rather sitting orders from Cooper.
At least he drinks his martini the right way, extra olives. Too bad the doc nixed him smoking cigars for a while too. I know how he feels.

There's luxuries to be had in ex-Intelligence... even a professional part=time wife. With a home like this, Sam must have very special reasons to return again and again to dingy motels and dubious bars.

But here now we begin to see the reformation of the links back to older portions of the story, what with the image of that mysterious body down by the river... You know,....the one with the back of its head blown out and a shotgun shell resting nearby in the mud... I'm assuming we all recognized that memorable tableau... I know I must have stared at that image, looking for little clues and details, a hundred times by now...

That was the big mystery we've ALL been waiting on... Just who's body IS that anyway... Many of us have been assuming

Certainly not Tony-Ray's M.O. (and surely Sam would know that, if he's even aware of Tony-Ray as a murderer)...

But is he? Is Sam even aware of that dark side of Tony-Ray,...or does he just see the pig as a handy way of disposing of bodies from time to time, and certainly recently as a method of getting good "under the radar" medical care...

I would have imagined that if Sam had even the slightest inkling that Tony-Ray had been a part of Uthalla's twisted nature, things would have been a lot different...

It's Tony-Ray's and Sam's history that I'm REALLY interested in now...

And it seems as things begin to come to a head concerning Bryce (and Tony-Ray's involvement in that sordid affair) Sam may end up getting a little more informed about the bigger picture than he was ever prepared to be...

Yes.. the unidentified body with the wristwatch. What's the big thing with the wristwatch? I don't know, but considering how it's placed so obviously in the picture I've always thought Our Talented Artist and Writer put it there for SOME significant reason.

Just who was that? With Sam on the case, maybe we'll finally find out.

Need I say that I really like Sam? He started out interesting and he's grown from there.

Apparently there is indeed a third fox. But who is it? Wedding band, expensive watch and shot in the head? It may very well be Mr. Vandergraf himself. After all, he was a little nervous about the mob coming back after all of them.

http://rustedtusks.com/slop/index.php?v=1&i=2&f=1&p=7&nc=1

That body laying out there in the mud doesn't necessarily have to be near where Tony Ray, Sam, Brice and his double all met.

Heh, it could just as easily have been one of Deighton's construction sites.

Uncle.

Uncle says, (tapping the side of his head) "I have all the collected wisdom of the ages right here...."

Contents may have settled.

But the question remains, just who's body is that laying out in the dirt?

Sam's reading this article about "Body found" has to be a serious ass puckering moment for a detail orientated character such as he is.

"Oh fuck, just WHO did we deliver to Deighton?"

Uthalla picked up a scent tag at the cabin, but it wasn't Brice's. It was Scottie's. And unfortunately, he was a match when they grabbed him.

And of course, I see Brice, I mean Anthony, is still up to his old tricks.

What better place than a hospital ICU to pick up nice "compliant" women?

Now which one of you is going nuts back tracking the Slop archives trying to find that gold ring and wrist watch in the back ground?

Uncle.

Sad to say,...I'd already spent way too much time doing that shortly after the original "body" page first came out, determined to locate those artifacts on one of the earlier characters....

Nuthin'....

Sometimes the obvious solution is the correct solution.

Given the details we glimpsed in the news article I'm finding little reason to believe that Brice was not in fact killed at the river.

The question for me is who finished him off with the shotgun blast to the head?

The other question is, if the fox working in the hospital is NOT Brice, who is he?

That's Brice working in the horsepistol allright. And Pommy took out the river victim with a shotgun. Giggling the while.

So... the razors? That's the big part of the mystery for me.

Copydog?

One shaves with one's razor... and if it's a straight razor, it's also useful for Social Purposes. (In this case, I've no idea)

It could be Scotty. You have an inconvenient body. Put a shotgun in its mouth and a finger on the trigger and now its a suicide. Maybe. I'm always wrong in an, I hope, entertaining fashion.

Mulefoot's an organized functioning serial killer, that puts him in a different league from Uthy. I think Sam is reluctant to work with Mulefoot, because if Mulefoot decided kill Sam, Sam thinks Mulefoot has a very good chance. Of course that skill set is what makes him valuable.

Another body with razors in the mouth. That doesn't happen by coincidence. Looks like someone could be tipping their hat to Mulefoot.
