So now we know why Sam isn't interested in sex any more. Or at least the reason he gives "himself," or us as we listen to his story.

Kind of unnatural for him to be telling us all of this, isn't it? For the way the story is written, Sam is narrating it to us, consciously. And Sam doesn't seem to me to be the type who really would tell his story to anybody. Still, the "gumshoe" talking to you, the reader who isn't even really there from his point of view, is such a standard literary convention that I'm not attaching any importance to it. Perhaps Sam is actually speaking this story to nothingness, since there's nobody to hear...

He is just a ball of hurt, Sam is. I love the character, but more and more I think that nothing he has done to anyone else has been as horrible as what he's done to himself. And that's saying a lot. I wonder if he'd agree?

He went impotent, essentially, from watching a huge slobbering vepr rape various victims during interrogations. There's something to consider. We all know one huge vepr, don't we? Even if Tony was not the critter Sam refers to here, this story suggests Sam doesn't think highly of Tony's species.

That could be because veprs are just generally scorned in the Slop universe. There does seem to be a deep prejudice about them in some circles. Or it could be because of bad experiences. Or both. In any case, Tony Ray needs to deal with Sam, or make a deal with him. And this hostility isn't going to help things there.

Of course it could be that Sam has become so much the professional, lost so much of his soul, that he isn't any more able to work up a good hate than he is to work up lust any more.

Poor Sam, what for most of us would be something nice, is a nasty chore. That he had to do twice.
What will he find out? Will he find out about Brice?
And if so, what will he do with the info?
Also I bet Carol will make sure Redmond will get 'sloppy seconds'.

Of course now I want to see that 'veper'.

Poor Sam, having to do something he really has no passion for anymore. Still.. damn, he's hot.

I have to admit if I were in a position where I had information he wanted and I could convince him to just let me have my way with him, then I'd tell all... I'd go for it

This page really needs a song to go with it.

This song is very Sam and very sleazy.

I think that Carol is hot.

Like maybe she deserves her own minicomic... :)

Yep. I'm on board with that--

Don't know why all the critterettes have human boobies, tho'; I mostly prefer critter boobies.

BTW, the boar is perfect! Right down to the "tits on a boar hog" detail.......

Well it gets everyone on the same page faster.
Boobies = female
No boobies = male
Hair also works.. but Ritta has a flattop.

That's because Rita has a bit of hero worship going on, whether she knows it or not.
And you're quite correct, Ramseys. Putting human gender cues on the characters is excellent artistic shorthand. It lets everyone quickly know who is what gender. In my head, some of the characters look a bit more bestial.

And _that_ is what makes this strip particularly intriguing.

All the "furs" don't just look like humans with ears and a tail.

Uncle.

Which leaves possibly the most Mental-optional character of all: Uthy.
"What's with the wig?" "What wig?"
"What's with the fake boobies?" "They're real."
Does she wanna be, but isn't, or is she?
Given that gators have none of the usual visible accessories, we really can't tell without a post-mortem.

Right on, man. That's long been a bitch of mine-- slap a head and hoofs on a human body and it's, um, well, a human in a cheap fursuit. And regardless of species, they all have horse dicks. WTF's up with that?

Never seen SL.
Used to have a very handsome Beefmaster bull before I switched to mostly sheep.
Kinda like that?

>erk<
OK, the "Add Picture" feature here is, um, bit over my head--

*Software challenged*
See? That's why it'd take a cranial reload for me to use SL or stuff like that.........
