Driving back from the sale barn late at night, musing on what I saw--

I notice there are no armadillo characters in the comics. Seems they'd be a native species.

*Swings wide on the corner to miss that one......... *

Suppose that's because, being dumber than a box of rocks, they never reach sentient status?

Or because their affinity for the bottom of pickup trucks keeps the numbers of sentient ones below a breeding population? (Doesn't seem to cut into their numbers much around here.) They don't seem to have any natural enemies; my pigs won't eat them, neither will the dogs, tho' my danes kill them and leave them as lovely little gifts for me to find. If they were sentient, I wonder what kind of jobs they would have?

There aren't any sentient armadillos in SLOP. I need to make an official species list at some point. Closest thing SLOP has opossum. You can see one in the military hospital towards the end of Scene of the Crime.
