As you read the "Slop" comics and get to know the quirks and mannerisms of the characters do they begin to have discernible voices that you can ascribe to them? Does Tony's voice have a gravelly growl or a smooth baritone? Does the vepr's voice sound breathy like his throat is dry or does his drawl have a cartoonishly sharp twang? If you could match a celebrity to the voice, who would that be? How about for the rest of the cast?

I can imagine the Vepr has a really rednecky raspy voice from smoking and drinking. I can't really think of anyone but Red Green. But deeper.

Expect sometime in the next day or two for me to post a vocal sample of Mulefoot and Brice at the very least. I'll be doing Muley and Buster Charlie will provide Brice. He has the definitive Brice. *grins*

For Mulefoot, at least, I could see someone like a Nick Nolte or a Lance Henriksen,...as long as they can achieve that deep-south drawl...

Lance Henriksen especially,...if you consider his voice in either Pumpkinhead, Dead Man, or Near Dark, where he utilized that accent to very good effect, in general....

Shucks, whatever I do, despite all the originals I've been watching lately, I somehow still come up with German dub voices easiest. But what good is it if I say Herle might be sounding like Robert de Niro's voiceover, or the hippie chick like the very dark and sultry German Dana Scully.

I can imagine Marian with Jeniffer Tilly's voice - but it would have to be Jeniffer Tilly's "nice polite" voice, not the "incredibly turned on lesbian stripper voice" that she has in at least one movie :)

That sort of niave vulnerable thing going on...

For some reason I can almost hear Mulefoot as Jack Palance but I'm a strange guy.
