*Chuckles* Looks like I was closer than I thought...

I wasn't sure which way this was going to go, but remember I was talking about ulterior motives? I was wondering if Jen was helping Mulefoot because she needed a killer, and I suppose that guess was right, but she wanted more'n that out of him... Looks like she's- Er, she WAS attracted, to really bad boys, but the worst sort of bad boys.

Nerver forget that we're still bound by instinct (As I imagine all the denizens of Slop are, perhaps even more so). All of our preferences for a mate are hard-wired into our brains for a reason. Females look for a tough guy because instictively their desired traits in a male go way way back to our earliest animal ancestors. Females look for the alpha male, a male they know has the strength and aggression to defy any odds and provide for her offspring. Thing is, we modern creatures get things really mixed up, and don't always realize what we're looking for or what we're looking at.

Sometimes I think in the back of Mulefoot's mind, there's a terrified, shell-shocked little manchild cowering behind walls of loathing and fear, directed inwards and outwards, and magnified this way as light through a multi-hued prism... Mulefoot's Salad Fingers to his Hubert Cumberdale and Jeremy Fisher. (Sorry, couldn't resist the reference, but I think it is pertinent anyway)
