Post subject:  About Blue...

This is the proper place for discussion of the story Blue...

I'll leave it to the readers to ask the questions, I'll provide the answers.

To repeat, if you wish to be included in this story, discuss it with me via PM.

Thank you for reading. Those of you that are astute readers may notice a few subtle changes occasionally in the story. Yes, I have gone back and edited it a bit to fix continuity or phrasing.

Post subject:  Re: About Blue...

I have a confession to make...

Blue started out as a role play. Its becoming more than that. The more I thought about Runs With Stick, the more I had to tell.

The pig mentioned something to me about writing too fast...

But I'm between a rock and a hard place here.

If I don't tell the story, the Cunni will kill me.

There's more to come.

And do stuff yourself. Don't let the Tony Ray or Runs With Stick intimidate you. There's plenty of room here for you to express yourself. And if not, I'm sure with a bit of work with a hammer and keyboard, we can build an addition.

The plot thickens...

A few more characters need to be introduced and a couple more flashbacks of things that have already happened.

Stay tuned more mayhem and violence is in the wings.

As Greets The Morning said, "Death is always nearby."

According to the time line, 2 years after the death of her mother and grandmother.

*grins* But you won't have to wait that long...

This is an excellent bit of growing literature here Uncle! Truly entertaining! Though I'm betting there are a few out there who may be trepidatious about interacting after the "reception" that old goat received,...heh heh.... (Good job Mulefoot, great bit character....)

Mmm,...damn,..."hopfoot hair in my grill',.......grim......

Here we see a really horrifying view of some specieist racism, and an obvious disregard for life.... I'm wondering how the authorities handled the situation as far as the trucker went... How does that type of thing shake down in a "SLOP" variety courtroom?

No doubt about as much justice as our laws gave the American Indians...

By the way,..what species was the trucker? Bear? Wolf?

I'm wondering,...if we were to relate this story's timeframe with an era in our own world, are we talking the modern age here? I know we're dealing with the past (or at least flashbacks of it),...but is the present as depicted with her bus-ride OUR present,...a day of high-tech gadgets and the internet?

Thank you.

Ya know, I feel badly for old Smitty. He means well, he just didn't know when to shut up. He's lucky though, he doesn't end up as volunteer for Chavo.

I doubt the "authorities" investigated it too throughly, perhaps he got away with the "Ah swear, I thought is was a coyote" defense.

On the trucker, I'm thinking badger, if I remember correctly, similar to Uthalla's partner on the hunt for Brice. That will make it a real challenge to her skill as a predator when she finally meets him.

And yes on the time frame, the Slop Universe parallels our own. Although, things up north at the cabin are still pretty much as they've always been.

She'd ask, being as how you're a canine and all that... Just don't let her get in the reverse cowgirl position. That's leaves her a clear shot at your ankle.

Ahhh,..this is getting REALLY interesting now....

However,..I think I'm making a mistake trying to read these this late/early in the moring without sleep.... Because I got confused over those last few entries...

Perhaps it will come clear later, but,...when there's no date posted up top,..are we to assume that it's "now", as in 2007?

I keep seeing the other, earlier dates,...and I recognize when we are seeing "flashbacks" essentially,..but I became a bit lost when it went into the 70's there for a moment,..when the fellow gets shot there,..in the scene right before the head gets delivered in that package...

Am I missing something?

Please aid my sleep-deprived mind....

Oh,..and I loved the resolution with the trucker, by the way.... Muy delicioso.... In fact,..I wish it would have been drawn out a bit longer.. I actually think that,..for his insensitive murder,..he should have died a lot harder than he did,..at least,..harder than that otter did... But,..tradition is tradition, I guess....

Well done, sir!

I apologize for the order in which everything has been posted in so far. It really did start out as a short role play exercise, but grew into something a lot deeper and complex.

The head in the box, was not dated as it is present tense. Actually, it predates the first posting (prelude) in the thread by about a month.

Once the story is finished, I will put everything in chronological order as it should be. (And as it is being kept in hard copy in a binder on my desk) Oh, and on the brevity of things, these are actually chapter outlines for the book version that I am writing.

Yeah, dat cunni girl be in ma head.

There is no need for "retribution" so to speak on the trucker, his ultimate pay back is getting sent on his final journey with his right foot missing and the ability to see "that which has been denied him."

Besides, she got him to beg and offer money first. It didn't take much effort. With characters like Clarence, it never does.

Post subject:  Greetings Runs with Stick.

Well, I see you've been living a very colorful life. I am sorry for the lost of your family and friends. It seems like you live in a very violent world. By the way should you like, I can help give you a list of body parts to remove off Uncle should you want an idea on where to start. Then again, it's cute listening to him talk about you a lot of the time while I'm at work. I can't believe what happens in the end.

Thank you Uncle.

We would like to apologize, both Uncle and I have been under a lot of strain as of late and haven't been able to devote the time necessary to properly tell the story. But things are looking up, things that have been "in the way" for way longer than they should have are nearing their resolution within the next month or so.

And now, just for a little something different I ran across online. Apparently the Cunni aren't the only ones to use blue in a ceremonial fashion.

That's really cool, Uncle... I actually had a chance to visit the primary sacrificial cenote at Chichen-Itza when I went to Cozumel years ago,..and it was amazing, eerie, and fantastic... There they have the "stone hoop" ball fields and many various ruins, included the pyramid holding the legendary Jade Jaguar Throne deep in a chamber at its heart... VERY cool... I love the fact that the ancient Maya were astronomers as well, with some fairly complex methods at their disposal. Their glyphic writing was beautiful and alien as well....

I REALLY wanna go back there again... Fascinating....

And so Miguel becomes an unwitting "volunteer"... I'd forgotten about what that meant until I remembered what would actually happen to him after his visit to the mortuary...

Oooppppssssss....

I chuckled for a moment at my confusion when I read that the one worker had said "Tu Madre" (Your mother) when seeing Miguel post "accident"... Perhaps it loses some meaning in the translation,...because I thought that was an insult (...as in "chinga tu madre)..... "Madre de Dios" (Mother of God) would have also certainly been appropriate during that moment,....since I can only imagine what poor Miguel's face looked like under that lovely length of pipe...

Nice scene, Uncle!

It was intentional... As in "oh, your poor mother, no one should have her son die like this."

Over 30 years ago, the Federation Indigenous Movement seized Broken Knee in an attempt to force the government off of their land. Several were killed, and some where killed by members of their own tribal council.

Their belief is that Mother Earth will scourge their land of the intruders and they can go back to the way "things were."

As are the way of most "holy wars" you have the extremists that feel that the end justify any means. So they have upped the ante so to speak by experimenting with a modified version of "The Fever" that targets canidae rather than cunilucus.

Of course as is with most "mad science" it has a high probability of being broad spectrum and killing everyone. The Federated Union of States...also known as Unionists agents are understandably worried and quite justified in taking what ever steps they see fit to stop what could be an apocalypse in the making.

It was simply known as "the fever" and was spread by handing out infected blankets, then telling those that were sick, "Go to your relatives, they will care for you." Between the years 1830 and 1840 over 100,000 died from this alone.

About the same time, there was the forced resettlement, known as the "Painful Path" that decimated several thousand as they were being "moved for their own protection" by Unionist troops.

Conservative estimates are that from 1700 to 1900 over 200 million perished as a result of the settlers thinking they had divine providence over the new territories.
