Yes. Yes we are thanks to some hard work by Costilled, the rustedtusks.com domain was dislodged from the dying grips of Burton Hosting and we're now hosted by harelink.

So what exactly happened with the domain, anyway?

Just before the new year, SLOP's long time webhosting service, Burton Hosting, sent an invoice for domain re-registration and for the next 3 month service period. I paid. Shortly after the new year begins, rustedtusks.com vanishes. I file a trouble ticket with my hosting company and nothing happens. Then 3 days later, this domain squatting thing starts popping up at Burton when you put in rustedtusks.com. Those of you who are here probably saw it. I file more trouble tickets and get very concerned about the lack of response. I try contacting my webhost by phone and get messages about the numbers being disconnected. This is seriously not good. Even worse, I can't unlock my domain from the host. The hosting service has to do the unlocking via their login with OpenSRS.

With Costilled's help, I filed a complain with the registration people and for whatever reason, the domain became unlocked just 2 days ago. So we snapped it up, moved it to a much more reliable provider, and here we are.

Also, the forum works again as well. So without Costilled, this would not be here. Thanks. I really appreciate the help.

I'm so glad to see you're back. I hadn't checked in for a week or two, right after the first of the year, and you were suddenly just _gone_. I couldn't even find any discussion about what happened using Google. I hope things are going better for you, and that some of the upheavals in your life that have been going on lately are calming down.

Things are calming down and falling into place. Excellent change has happened. I look forward to getting back to drawing SLOP soon.

Welcome back.

Oh wait, you mean you weren't drawing slop in advance?

Just teasing.

glad you're back. Missed you. :)

Was watching the JACK forums for any word... didn't find too much...

It's probably a moot point, but maybe y'ought to make a rustedtusks LJ account for any other unforseen circumstances. Just sort of an "emergency posting place"... Or, heck, you could even post in it to say "comic updated" or similar.

Just a thought I'd had... but it's probably moot, as hopefully hosting is ironed out and won't be an issue for a good few years. :D

Props to Fishyboner INDEED, then!

What with you practicing so much recently with watercolors,..I figured this was some new experimental style! I TOTALLY missed the signature on the wall above his head... I must be going blind in my old age...

It's not old age, Jadúgara. Like I tell my nephews, whacking off will make you go blind. And they always respond "Uncle Andy, we're over here."
