Not as rare as you'd think-- I've had people take home a pig they bought in the front seat of their car.........

Not a bad idea-- the pig got under the driver's feet right off the bat. He could steer, but not much else.
I'da paid money to be there when the fuzz pulled him over for doing 105 in a school zone:
