So - I hope ever body in this universe has a happy new year - and gets an egg for easter.

In the Slopoverse, we have to wonder.

Will Brice make it through the year?

Will Uthalla?

The Pig hisownself?

Pommander?

Speculation is indicated.

The real speculation is on the two lawmen picking up the clues from the grisly remains left in Tony's wake. When are they going to show up, proper?

I did thank you. And best wishes to everyone here in the Slop forum.

This means The General Store showed a profit for '11? Or at least not a terrible loss anyway?

I closed the store in December of 2010.
In the 9 months it was open I sold about $750 worth of merchandise. Since it has been closed, I've sold about $5-6K worth.

That I can/do sell stuff via eBay isn't surprising. What I _do_ find amusing is that now that I'm closed, I actually have people demanding that I let them in to see what I have.

Go figure.

Uncle.

Tried eBay, paypal, etc--

Way too much institutionalized ripoffs and ripping off for my preferences, high setup and maintenance effort. Billed for $ thousands that wasn't me. Unsecure spammy crapfest.

Different strokes......

I've sold 5 figures on Craigslist, quite the life (and farm) saver, as the Great Recession has dragged my "official" lines of work to a slow crawl.

And yeah, people who show up unannounced, (and often needing a translator), and driving off with $1000 of purchases in an unlicensed (-able) vehicle. (Wish they'd learn to call. There's times I don't need to be disturbed. But whatever turns a dollar.)

Well, it's already starting off on a high note--

The computer has been hanging and SPODing, so run the antivirus and directory cleanup, "The directory cannot be replaced because of mechanical failure. It will get worse. Act immediately."
Open the utility, before the menu even comes up: "X FAILING", "Sectors Failing", "FAILING".

2 year old machine. Take it to Tulsa and come back next week.

BITE ME!

All good now, 8)
Naturally, nothing wrong (there's a bit of a tradition of denying a problem exists by certain outfits), but a new SSD to replace the HDD and it's better than ever. SSD's are a bit pricey, but less than any new machine that performs near as well as this one does now.......

It's about FUCKING time. I haven't been around here, in a while.

I'd just about given up on this comic, Mulefoot.

I understand you've been dealing with your studies and other issues, but it's been years.

Are we back on an even keel here? What's an 'even keel' where current updates are concerned?

Are we talking weeks here, or months?

Hey, maybe there's much more going on in the SLOP world than you might realise... Maybe there's big projects underway in the background... :P

Good things come to he who waits.

Uncle just waits patiently. All things happen as and when they should.

And.... Even _if_ there were to be no more Slop....

I would be eternally grateful for what the pig has shared with up already.

Uncle.

Hey, cut a pig a break-- "Into every life some shit must fall" [Longfellow]; you have no idea how big a backhoe someone else may need. Bitch not, lest you have to walk a mile in their rubber barn boots. I'm quite sure, when pressing issues have been dealt with in the order of their importance, Muley will attend to your every need.

(Some might consider that more in the line of a warning, than a blessing, but hey, that's just me....... ) 8)

I was also biting my proverbial tongue about commenting on the really precious sense of entitlement that was going on in that post, however...
